Handicapped students and staff are encouraged the use of the parking spaces intended for them. The improper use of the parking spaces for the disabled can result in a big fine. Most hotels offer parking spaces for travellers who brought their own cars. However, it is advisable to check with hotel management first if fees are going to be charged for using them.

Travel by Trains and Rail Travel


Some train companies like NSW Countrylink provide services to Canberra for visitors coming from Sydney and Melbourne. These services are usually connecting trains with certain drop-off points during the duration of the trip. Visitors coming from Sydney can be dropped off at Kingston in the south of Canberra. These runs are usually made at least once a day, but it is advised to check with the train operator for a complete list of schedules.

Travel by Buses and Coach Travel


Canberra Airport offers regular bus services. Passengers can get a bus just outside the airport. Regular buses have hourly journeys to central Canberra from Monday to Friday.

Visitors can get taxis at the Canberra Airport. The taxis do not charge much and they are available 24 hours. They provide a convenient entry to the Canberra centre. They can be booked by disabled travellers also.
